I didn’t know much about Lance Armstrong before I read this book. I knew he was a professional cyclist, he had been dominating Tour De France for years and that there were rumors he’d been using performance enhancing drugs. This was pretty much the image I had received by watching the sports news.
When I noticed Lance’s book in our local library, I thought twice before picking up the book. I do like cycling, but I thought this would be a book for hardcore cyclists, filled with boast of the Tour De France victories. What changed my mind was the back cover. It revealed there was a lot more in this book, so I decided to at least glance it through. Back at home I forgot the book to my shelf for couple of weeks.
As the return date got closer, I opened the book just for a quick browse through. Then happened something I’ve witnessed only two times before - I just couldn’t stop reading!
This morning I’m confused: is it Christmas already? You know, I have been lucky to be training for 3 days in a row and today I’m going to the gym. I feel myself fortunate, I haven’t trained like this since high school. But on top of it my favorite blogger is giving away $54,000 in prizes! Who is this Santa Claus? Doesn’t he know it’s still 2 months to Christmas???

After watching this video I imagined myself hanging on a 4-store high building and then looking down to the ground. Just imaging that gave me the chills. Maybe someday I have the courage to hang on a roof edge, without thinking about falling…
The autumn is here, no question about it. It’s cold and dark in the mornings, so I haven’t had the greatest motivation to get up early. Not until I discovered the excitement I get when running in the dark! Here’s a list of my discoveries after a spooky running session.
I like to keep my running gear and dirty laundry separated from my clean clothes while travelling. There are two good reasons for doing it. First, it keeps the clean clothes clean. The seconds reason is that once you arrive home, you can easily put all the dirty clothes to the laundry and the clean ones back to the closet, This way you save time and nerves every time you return from a travel.
This is a quick tip for pull-up training. There’s an exercise called ladder training which seems to be a pretty effective, at least what I read from couple of forums. I tried it today at the gym and I got to say it was a good way to start my road to 30 pull-ups. The exersice goes this way:
