The autumn is here, no question about it. It’s cold and dark in the mornings, so I haven’t had the greatest motivation to get up early. Not until I discovered the excitement I get when running in the dark! Here’s a list of my discoveries after a spooky running session.
I like to keep my running gear and dirty laundry separated from my clean clothes while travelling. There are two good reasons for doing it. First, it keeps the clean clothes clean. The seconds reason is that once you arrive home, you can easily put all the dirty clothes to the laundry and the clean ones back to the closet, This way you save time and nerves every time you return from a travel.
This is a quick tip for pull-up training. There’s an exercise called ladder training which seems to be a pretty effective, at least what I read from couple of forums. I tried it today at the gym and I got to say it was a good way to start my road to 30 pull-ups. The exersice goes this way:
As injuries are part of sports I think every one of us have had some experience with them. They’re irritating at the moment they appear, but after years they start to feel like “trophies”. You show them to other people, talk about them like they were your old friends and remember the event that caused the injury like it happened yesterday. I bet that people who train collision sports or martial arts have interesting stories to tell
I gathered my little trophy shelf here, feel free to post yours in the comments
This week’s main event had changed from Cooper test to heptathlon, which was held on Thursday, Sep 13th. The company I work for (SYSOPENDIGIA) had organised this yearly event and I was excited to participate since I’ve never tried heptathlon before. I intentionally took Monday and Tuesday as rest days, but eventually Wednesday was a rest day too. I needed to go to the parents meeting at my kids day care, so I didn’t go jogging on that evening. Now after the heptathlon I can fortunately say that it was wise to rest on those three days. I mean I’m really exhausted at the moment, I never couldn’t imagine it to be so tough! You just go there, throw a couple of times, jump and then run those short sprints, right??? The morning after the event I woke up with sore thighs and arms, aching back&shoulders and broken ankle, but it was worth it And here’s why…

It's Time To Do More Pull-ups
As the days are getting colder and I’m spending more time inside the house, I thought it is time to add another challenge for my 52Lives schedule. Since I was a kid I dreamed of doing pull-ups. I had long and weak arms with a heavy body attached to them, so the results weren’t what I expected But once I got older, things got better. When I was 18 years old I could do 12 pull-ups. That’s still my personal best and I would like to break that record. Again I like to think big and set my goals high..
